Two Leaders Expand their Roles Serving Older Adults and their Caregivers
On July 1, Rachel Tate, MSW was named Vice President, Ombudsman Services and Anat Louis, PsyD became Vice President, In-Home Services. Both were promoted to their new roles, with Rachel most recently serving as Administrative Program Director of our Long-Term Care (LTC) Ombudsman Program and Anat as Director of Case Management.
"Both of these women bring a wealth of experience and talent to their respective roles," said Molly Davies, President and CEO, WISE & Healthy Aging. "Knowing the quality of service, integrity, and passion that they bring to the table, I look forward to their leadership in addressing the spectrum of needs our clients have, from the most vulnerable and frail to those wishing to receive care in their homes.
An advocate for the elderly and disabled, Rachel joined WISE & Healthy Aging in 2007, most recently serving as Administrative Program Director of our City and County of Los Angeles LTC Ombudsman Program where she oversaw our Pasadena and Palmdale/Lancaster Ombudsman offices.
In her new role, Rachel will lead all aspects of our LTC Ombudsman Program in Los Angeles County - the largest in the state by population, with seven offices located throughout the county covering more than 1,800 facilities and 76,000 beds in skilled nursing and residential care facilities.
No stranger to WISE & Healthy Aging, Anat worked with WISE in her former capacity as Director of Direct Services & Program Development at the City of Los Angeles’ Department of Aging where she was for eight years before joining the USC Leonard Davis School of Gerontology, where her focus was elder abuse prevention and family caregiver research projects before she joined WISE & Healthy Aging in 2021.
In her new role, Anat will oversee all aspects of its Care Management Services including peer counseling, to help coordinate care and services for seniors in their homes. Additionally, she will be assisting with outreach to community partners to promote agency services that help support seniors living at home.
