President & CEO, WISE & Healthy Aging

Molly Davies, LCSW was named President and CEO of WISE & Healthy Aging on July 1, 2022.  Having spent the last 20 years of her career at WISE, Molly most recently served as executive vice president, leading the Long-Term Care Ombudsman (LTC), Elder Abuse Prevention, and the organization’s Care Management services.

A longtime advocate for the elderly and disabled at WISE & Healthy Aging, Davies has overseen all aspects of its LTC Ombudsman and Elder Abuse Prevention Programs, serving as the state-designated “program director” of our LTC Ombudsman Program since 2006.

In this role, Ms. Davies created the Graduate student internship program, developed an ombudsman unlicensed facilities response, training programs for hospital discharge planners to prevent inappropriate transfers and discharges, and a memorandum of understanding that clarifies jurisdiction between Adult Protective Services and Ombudsman Programs in California.

Molly was also co-creator of the widely respected Holistic Elder Abuse Response Team (HEART), that provides case management, therapy, legal system advocacy and emergency funds to survivors of elder abuse in community and facility settings. She also led a statewide effort to increase funding for Ombudsman programs in California through the state budget process, which generated more than $5 million for WISE & Healthy Aging since 2015.  She was also responsible for leading the program’s policy and advocacy efforts.

As a licensed clinical social worker, Molly has also led WISE & Healthy Aging’s Case Management program where she had oversight of the team responsible for coordinating care and services for older adults wishing to remain in their homes.

Molly holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from UCLA and a master’s degree in Social Work from California State University Long Beach. She is founding member of the California Elder Justice Coalition and former President of the California LTC Ombudsman Association, a role she vacated after assuming her role as President and CEO of WISE & Healthy Aging.
