Candace Shivers

Candace Shivers is Chief Activities and Events Officer of Club 1527, a social and recreational, membership-based program of WISE & Healthy Aging that supports adults, age 50 and older, to stay active and engaged with a goal of being able to remain living quality, independent lives in their residential community.  Members are in engaged in discovering a variety of intellectual, social and physical programs to stay healthy. The Club also offers “WISE Adventures” (excursions and enrichment/cultural outings) and concierge services.  Based on what some know traditionally as senior centers, Club 1527 is an evolution that incorporates those aspects of the national “village” model, a movement across the U.S. that supports older adults “aging in place.”
 
Prior to joining WISE & Healthy Aging, Ms. Shivers spent 36 years as a senior director for a premier training and development company, Landmark Education, where she consistently exceeded measures of excellence, performance, and superior customer service. She has delivered transformational leadership programs to more than100,000 individuals around the globe. Ms. Shivers has a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from Southern Illinois University.
