Polo in Paradise
Santa Barbara Polo Match with Included Buffet Lunch

Excursion Highlights: 
Celebrate polo on the “American Riviera.” Located between the foothills of the Santa Ynez Mountains and the Pacific Ocean, the Santa Barbara Polo Club’s lush green fields are home to exciting and competitive polo matches. Established in 1911, the world-renowned Club is the third oldest polo facility in America and the premier equestrian polo club in the western U.S.! In 2011, Prince William played here. Even if you know nothing about polo, you’ll love this unique opportunity to experience this sport. The pre-match festivities, including the Polo Pony Parade, are a real treat! Remember that scene in the film “Pretty Woman”?... you too can join in on the fun of turning over the divots made by the galloping horses. Enjoy an included Buffet Lunch, access to a cash bar and comfortable chair seating from our private field-level tent. Feel free to wear Derby Attire, such as sundresses, blazers, colorful pants, loafers and your largest hat! Suggestion: eat prior to departure as Buffet Lunch will be served upon our arrival at about 2 pm.

Anacapa Island Cruise
With Channel Islands National Park Visitor Center & Ventura Harbor Village

Tour Highlights: 
Discover the natural environment of Channel Islands National Park, without going ashore! As we cross the channel to Anacapa Island, the journey may be highlighted by sightings of dolphins, sea lions and seals. Just 12 miles from the California coast, Anacapa Island is a small volcanic island and the closest of the Channel Islands. Our three-hour narrated wildlife cruise travels along Anacapa’s rugged and scenic north shore (this is a non-landing cruise). Prior to the cruise, enjoy time at leisure to browse the shops and enjoy an early lunch on your own in the scenic Ventura Harbor Village. We’ll also visit the Channel Islands National Park Visitor Center. We’ll take the scenic route home along Pacific Coast Highway.Suggested: rubber-soled walking shoes and a sweater or jacket as it can be cool on the water. The boat has shaded and unshaded areas, and a restroom.

California Avocado Festival (Avofest) with Coastal Train Ride

Holy Guacamole! Santa Barbara County is the third largest producer of avocados in North America, so it’s no surprise we’re headed to downtown Carpinteria for the 31st annual California Avocado Festival. First, we’ll motorcoach to L.A.’s Union Station to board an Amtrak train for a relaxing scenic ride offering spectacular ocean views along the coast to Santa Barbara. Upon arrival in Santa Barbara, our motorcoach will transport us to Carpinteria for the festival which boasts a commercial marketplace, an arts & crafts venue, four entertainment stages and a food venue with creative avocado and guacamole dishes. Don’t miss the Largest Avocado contest and the World’s Largest Vat of Guacamole! Enjoy lunch on your own and ample time at leisure to explore the festival in downtown Carpinteria which also offers numerous boutiques. We will motorcoach home. Suggested: walking shoes. Required: when booking, provide full legal name as it appears on your driver’s license or other government-issued identification that you will be presenting to Amtrak on the day of the tour.
