WISE & Healthy Aging Support

and Therapy Groups

WISE & Healthy Aging offers a variety of support groups focused on issues ranging from men's issues, women's issues, caregiver issues and breast cancer recovery support.

The support groups offered include:
  • Bereavement support

  • Caregiver support

  • Esparanza y Vida, a spiritually based program for Latina or Hispanic women to increase awareness of breast cancer and the importance of screening for it.

  • Los Companeros. This program is designed for non-English speaking Hispanic elderly who may be socially isolated. This program meets on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at the Adult Day Service Center in Santa Monica.

  • The Witness Project. This program for African-American women meets in churches and community centers and presents women who witness about their triumphs over breast or cervical cancers.
