WISE & Healthy Aging's 2008 Annual Dinner Fundraiser

In addition to donations that are received from individuals and organizations in the community throughout the year, WISE & Healthy Aging has held a springtime Dinner Celebration as a major fundraising event.

Two outstanding individuals -- the Honorable Aviva K. Bobb, Supervising Judge, Los Angeles Superior Court Probate Department, and Sister Marie Madeleine Shonka, recently retired CEO of St. John's Health Center -- were recognized for their distinguished service to our community and its most seasoned members.

The gala event featured a night of dancing and a gourmet, full-course meal at the elegant Beverly Hills Hotel.

A diverse crowd of community supporters and local dignitaries came together to celebrate and support the work and mission of WISE & Healthy Aging. The event included a silent auction with many exciting prizes up for auction and a recognition and award presentation for two honorees who were recognized for their service to the community and contributions to WISE & Healthy Aging.
